Chapter 3 - Haji

Should i cook something tonight? Or should i just pack some food from the store at the train station? Walking down the noisy street makes my head even more painful. I should have went home early to rest and avoided it. I ended up sleeping on the roof. Guess that what happen when you are too tired huh.. " Here I am " by 4men and mi playing from my i pod loud enough to cover the noise of busy people. People pushing pass here and there, it is really irritating. My head is hurting even more. I want to fly home now.

ringgg.. ringgg... my phone rang. What i did? i just stood there in my bed and watch. There is someone in the room. It's dark. I need to on the lights. What is happening to me? I can't take a step, i can't move. Who is this guy? Big muscular body with sliver and red eyes glaring from my balcony. I'm scared. I tried to scream, to shout but nothing came out. Red eyes and sliver hair. My head stings. It hurts. The pain.. I can move my limps now. I squeeze the side of my head. It seems like i am trying to hold it from exploding. It hurts. Unknowingly, i was screaming and after that everything blurred out.

In my dreams, i saw my parents. "Papa, Mama! Where are you going?" a girl asked their parents. "Mama and Papa is going to work, my dear" mother replied gently. "When will you come back?" Father and Mother look at each other with uncertainty on their faces.

"Mama? Mama.. mamaa" Damn. I thought to myself. Awake on my bed. Again this painful dream. It's dark outside. Wonder what time is it now? *ta ta ta ta* There's noise outside this door. A thief? Oww... A sharp sting in my head reminding me of... RED EYES! Damn damn damn... Can't be!!!

*click click* Damn the door. In a swift action i roll down my bed and grab on to my baseball bat. I can feel that every nerve in my body is twitching. What the hell! What was that? Demon? No no no...

*click* The door cracked open and a figure slowly show itself. The pair of red eyes shine in the moon light. Aaahhh! Fuck! I shouted and throw whatever i grabbed at it. *Thud, Thud, Thud*

Suddenly, he was behind me. I hugged me tight so i couldn't move. "Stop, i won't hurt you." he whispered gently into my ears. He wasn't warm.. Neither is he cold. He felt weird. My heart is goin crazy like its gonna break anytime.

" Let me go." I said loudly as though i was ordering him. He agreed as long as i don't do anything. He release me slowly like he was afraid he would hurt me. I quickly went to on the lights.*tad* The light is on and i can see him clearly. Red eyes, Sliver Hair, Muscular body, dressed in total black with a face that has distinguishable features. In simple, pretty boy. "who are you? what do want from me?" I said with a unhappy face. "How about we have supper together?"

After a long talk, I conclude that he isn't a bad guy. His name is Haji, he is demon from the demon world. He came to the human world to find me. When i ask why me? He claims that I saved him in my past live and he is here for repayment. That's why i was the only that saw him on the road that day. He said I was destined to be there. So in the end, he will be staying with me. At first i was unhappy, but after thinking about it, I don't think there is anything to worry about. After all I get to live with a pretty boy and if he were to harm me. I can protect myself because i am a vampire.

Chapter 2- A Dream

"Hey! Who says it's not melting? LOOK!", I said with a overly confident voice. There are two man outside the window edge grabbing to each side of the window. I guess they want to have a better view of the melting ice. With them blocking in front of the window, I couldn't see clearly. So, I climb over the window, sitting on the edge of the window pane to get a better view. Someone wrapped his arm over my waist from behind. "It's all because of you," he whispered in my ear with a soft and gentle voice. With him hugging me, it felt warm even when it is snowing so heavily outside. I cannot help but turn my head to let him kiss my cheek.

"Can you grab onto Cain for awhile?" with his warm lips staying near my cheek he said. He didn't answer me when i asked him why and instead he kissed my cheek again. Not wanting to upset him, I lift myself off the edge where I am and grabbed onto Cain. Now now, i am in the open air and the only thing that stop me from falling is Cain. It seems that Cain felt my insecure and placed his arms on my waist. I was so occupied by the fear of falling that i didn't notice that man who had me earlier on now had my friend Kyoko to stand beside him.

"Kyoko, can you climb over and hold on to Danny?" asked the man. Kyoko just climb over without replying anything. The mood in the air was really weird but i just couldn't say anything. After Kyoko was in Danny's arm, that man said something that make me feel suspicious. He asked them if they are ready, if they are, they start to can set out. I heard Cain and Danny asking each other if they're ready and suddenly we are all falling.

"Haaa...haa..haa.." I gave out a long sigh. It was just a dream. What a weird dream. I cannot help but to think of what happened in the end. But the only thing i can remember from the dream is the man mouthing something at the last moment. If i'm not wrong he is saying " Take care, my love." Why take care? Screw it, it's just a dream. Nothing more than a dream. This must be the side effects of watching too much anime, i told myself. I pushed the blanket and turn to the direction of my clock and the Beethoven's 5th symphony played as the background music. DONG DONG DONG DONG! "I AM FREAKING GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!" I literally jumped out of my bed and dashed to the toilet. Within 1 minute, I am at the doorway of my house.

"Ringgg!" and that's it, school ended! Luckily the school council president was absent that I didn't have to get punished for being late. I hate Monday and today is Monday. I tell myself silently while walking down the hallway that i have to endure 4 more days till weekends. Dammit! I had a shock when Kyoko shouted "Hey!" at me. " Please Kyoko! Don't scare me like that when I am in my thoughts!" I said with a grumpy look. " Haha! Alright! I'm sorry okay!"said Kyoko, "lets go get some food, I'm very very hungry! ". I looked and her as she dragged me and shouted childishly "I'm still in the shocked moment!"

Finally, i am back home. Kyoko is really being irritating. After eating, she forced me to go shopping with her. She always like to drag me from places to places. It gets quite annoying sometimes but she is still my best and only friend. I hardly talk to anyone in school because they think that i am a weirdo. Am i? I just like to be alone, that's all. Seating in front of my desk, instead of studying from tomorrow's test, i started thinking about my life. Get started! Get started! I picked up my pen and realised my bracelet is not around my wrist. Where did i dropped it? Could it be at my work place or wait!How did i get home last night?! HOW?

I'm so gonna fail my test. I wasted the whole night thinking about what happened that night. I could not remember anything. What happened in my dream or how i got hope home? I can't remember. I am on my way to the school building roof top. I need some fresh air as i didn't get any sleep last night too. How about ditching class? i thought to myself while walking up the stairs. I push open the rusted metal door and it produces a screeching sound. It must be very old. I wonder how old is this school building. 10 years? 20 years? Who gives a shit man. As i feel the breeze, i drop to the floor. Lying still, trying not to think about anything. I just want to rest now is all i know.

Chapter 1 - Blackout

Though i am walking down a path beside the express road, there isn't any cars. It is past 4am and i am on my way home. Why am i walking home? I ask myself in my head. "That is because i am penniless", replied myself loudly.

I have a really bad habit to sing along to my mp3 song while walking alone. No, I am not afraid of the dark and yes I like the dark. It gives me a calm and peaceful feeling. Thinking about it, it is quite dangerous for a 17 year old girl to walk home at night I guess. Well, its not that I want to stay out late. Thanks to my job, I have stay awake during the night.

My job has been keeping me so busy for the past 3 months that I realised I haven't had the time to give a thought about Haji. oh? Haji. He is a guy that keeps on appearing in dreams. It is as if he is real. He has sliver hair with deep dark red eye balls and beautiful features. Each time I thought he was real and reach out my hand to touch him, he disappear. It was a dream will be the next thing i knew.

Down the express road, I heard a loud dumping sound. The first thought that comes to my mind is someone dropping out from the sky. "Yeah! Impossible!," telling myself. "this is reality". Curious about the dumping sound, I raced towards its direction.

I cannot believe what am I seeing. I saw a body on the middle of the roads. There are cracks on the roads as though the body had fallen from the sky. Okay! First thing first, check if the body...errr.. person is alive, whispered my mind. Cautiously, I walked to the body and what should I do? I bend down and nudge him slightly but there is no response. Now I am scared. That is because I think he is death. "What should I do? what should I do?" my head is in a mess.

"Damnit! Why is a body here in the middle of the road, there is no trees and tall building around?"

"Damn you! Why did you died here? C'mon! You should choose a better place!" I shouted with frustrations at the body!

Out of a sudden, Haji's image popped into my head and I noticed that the body has the same hair colour as his. That can't be Haji I thought and started moving towards the body again. This time each step I take seems to drain more strength than before. Finally I came to the side of the body, I can hear my heartbeat going faster than normal. "COURAGE!", I said loudly before bending down. My hands are shaking hard and in a swiftly swing, I turned the body.

It was.. It was Haji. I dropped to my knees and stood frozen. Impossible. Impossible. IMPOSSIBLE! I tried to move but I can't. Like a spell has been cast on me. I am freaking out. This guy has always been in my dreams and now..now this is becoming reality? And he is dead! "cii" I turned my head and as i heard his hand moved! Now! This is creepy. I screened through his hands, legs, body, mouth, nose and eyes lids.

Nothing unusual except those eyes lids. I fix my eyes on the eyes lid. Suddenly, It open with deep red eye balls starring at me. It scared me! I placed my hands on my mouth to prevent any sound from escaping. I want to stand up and run but I'm froze. My legs won't move. I hope I can run. I want to run. Like blowing candles, my vision blackout to darkness.
