Chapter 6 - Ten years ago..

Ten years ago, when I was born, my parents placed a charm in a bracelet and I have to wear it no matter what. They say that I will be punished with a heavy price If i ever remove it. I had always believe it until..

One day, I was told by a friend saying that I'm so outdated as I wear such a thing. Due to my pride, I ignored warning and remove it.

When I remove it, that moment, I felt a strong throbbing feeling like something shattered but within a minute it stopped. At that point of time, I knew something went wrong but due to my pride, i could care less.

That night when I went home, mom and dad was seated at the living room waiting for me. Once I stepped into the doorway, they called for me. I went as they called after removing my shoes. Dad looked at me with a smile saying "Yukari, you will be a brilliant girl in the future. You know that mummy and daddy will always love you right. What we do is for your own good." I was shocked but what he said. I kept asking them what happened. All they did was just smiled at me in a still position without moving. When I move forward to touch their hands, I couldn't feel anything. They're not warm neither were they cold. They felt weird, they felt like they were nothing.

Suddenly, Dad moved shivering hands and took out a box placed with a lock. "Only open this after you past your 18th birthday.. Mummy and I will always love you."

As I reached out to hold on to the box, they smile at me and then started disappearing like particles. It was only at that point, I realised that they are just holograms. Where are they? The real them? My parents? I thought while running around the house like crazy. And when I finally stopped and look out of the window, I saw traces of blood.

I came to another realisation that the house had been placed under the power of illusion. Standing there at the hallway, I thought of ways to lift the illusion. Under such situation, I can only think of one way which is the blood curse. Warnings pop up in my minds. However at that moment I couldn't care about anything. If I could use my life to save them, so be it!

I punched the glass window which is right in front of me and caused the glass to shatter. I grabbed the biggest piece of cracked glass and slice it right through my right wrist without any hesitation. Blood coursing out like a open pipe. I dropped the glass and started chanting.

As I chant, I can feel the wind rose, everything around me starts shaking like its afraid.

"I, Yukari, daughter of Mystearina accept my destiny as a red vampire!"

After I finished the phrases, red translucent particles starts to form on my eyes. All I see is red but I could feel power running through me. With that, I burned a hole through the illusion and that's where I saw my parents.

Running in my max to where they are. I saw my parents lying there in front of me holding hands with smiles on their faces. Everywhere around there were corpses of vampires and demon familiars. There's pool of blood everywhere. I couldn't stop myself anymore. My legs lost all energy and i just fell. I knee there grabbing onto my parents and cried. For how long.. I never know.

Chapter 5 - Nightmare

Nooo..." Daddy!! Mummy!! You can't just die! Noo!!". There's blood everywhere. Though it's dark but i can see blood all around me, on me, blood .. All I see..Everywhere..Blood.. "Yu..Yu....Yukari! Wake up!" I heard Haji voice in the darkness.

As I open my eyes, I was panting like hell. I look up and I saw Haji, he looked so worried like he is about to cry. His eyes brows had frown to a point where it form a line. I helped myself to a sit position and he just hugged me so naturally. And start patting me saying stuff like it's a nightmare.. You'll fine.. I'm here..

It's has been so long that I felt so warm. A feeling so warm that makes you wanna cry. Tears dripping down my cheek and he just keep patting me...

Chapter 4 - Daydream

I don't know why when I look at him, I feel like protecting him. I must be crazy thinking that he is weak. He is a demon. Thinking to myself while trying to make breakfast. "Damnit! Why this eggs keep sticking to the freaking pan!!"

Suddenly, I feel a presence right behind of me and immediately a hand placed right on mine. "Let me take over", saying it so close that its tickles my ear and send some shock wave through my body. I jerked without knowing it. "woah!", i said as I push him away. " That is kinda scary.." "Sorry, I didn't to scare you". I liked it when he apologise to me. He will always sulk after saying sorry. I bet he can make the best puppy face. He is cute.

It has been a week that we started living together. Well, I almost poison him on the first day. I didn't know demons can't take apple. I gave him apple juice to drink. He was so polite that he drank it even though he know it poison! Well, I was kinda pissed when I found out. But I know for a certain that he doesn't want to upset me in anyway.

"Haji! I going off for school! Will you be fine? " shouting while tying my shoe laces at the door way. He immediately pop his head out of the kitchen saying yes with a bright smile. So bright that I think it made my day. "Stop daydreaming Yukari!" and I dashed out the door.
